15 Great Upcoming Google R&D Tech Projects

Get ready to control the desktop and slice Ninja fruits with your eyes. Get ready to print your own creative physical product. Get ready to dive into the virtual world, and interact with them. Come unfold the future with us.
Google’s side projects tend to have a forward focus. The company pours resources into researching everything from space elevators to robots–and, of course, pinpointing what all of us will be doing or using in the future. Let’s take a look at ten items that Google is putting resources into developing.

So here, from my research, I am serving you with the most excited Google’s Future Projects as well as those projects which are very useful but you might don’t know about it.

1. Oculus Rift

Virtual Reality gaming is here in the form of Oculus Rift. This history-defining 3D headset lets you mentally feel that you are actually inside a video game. In the Rift’s virtual world, you could turn your head around with ultra-low latency to view the world in high resolution display.

2. SmartThings

The current problem that most devices have is that they function as a standalone being, and it require effort for tech competitors to actually partner with each other and build products that can truly connect with each other. SmartThings is here to make your every device, digital or non-digital, connect together and benefit you.

3.Google Glasses

Augmented Reality has already gotten into our life in the forms of simulated experiment and education app, but Google is taking it several steps higher with Google Glass. Theoretically, with Google Glass, you are able to view social media feeds, text, Google Maps, as well as navigate with GPS and take photos. You will also get the latest updates while you are on the ground.

4. Google Robots

Google, inside its Top Secret Research Lab, Google [x] is having special Robots to perform many tasks. Though, there are not any incidence of having T-1000s of robots being build underground Silicon Valley.

Google is improving the efficiency of these Google Bots to perform as much tasks as they can (like, making coffee, copies etc) to provide more flexibility to humans so that they can work remotely and focus on higher level duties.

5.Google Driveless Cars

I could still remember the day I watch the iRobot as a teen, and being skeptical about my brother’s statement that one day, the driverless car will become reality. And it’s now a reality, made possible by… a search engine company, Google. So, Google Inc., the company which is providing street-level data for all location will now take you to your destination as well.

6. Google’s Space Elevators

Space Elevator is one of the most ambitious Project which will change the way we travel to space. Believe it or not, Google Space Elevator would allow you to leave earth’s atmosphere without the help of any rocket propulsion. Google already holds a patent for this upcoming technology.

This revolutionary technology will use carbon nano-tubes which are light weighted as well as very powerful for ‘cables’ to carry load from earth to outer space.

7. Google Fiber

A different kind of internet. It is a Google’s attempt to become most powerful Internet Service Provider [ISP] by serving “a connection speed of 100 times faster than today’s broadband services”. The statement from Google reminds me the day when Google introduced new GMail with 100 times more storage than other email providers with much better features.

Google Fiber – A Different Kind of Internet
Google Fiber looks like an excellent service which is very cost effective as well. It will be available for just $70/month and users get the features like:
  • Upload/Download (up to 1GB)
  • No Data Caps
  • 1 year contract
  • 1TB Google Drive Storage
  • Box included

More to come...Wait for excited projects in next post
